This Newsletter from our Chairman was sent by E mail to all Members for whom we have an E mail address.

Dear WMNT Centre Member

What a welcome sunny start to Spring! At least our politicians have not managed to ruin the weather!

We have a busy month ahead which is a good moment to give you updates on what is both happening and places that are still available.

On Saturday 6th April we are holding our Social Lunch at what is for us a change of venue. We will be at the Worcester Golf and Country Club, Boughton Park, Worcester. This event if fully subscribed and we do also have a couple of names on the waiting list in case of last minute cancellations.

We hold our main Committee Meeting on 10th April - please message any Committee Member or myself if you have any suggestions for the future.

Our first outing of 2019 is on April 18th. This is to Upton House. DUE TO CANCELLATIONS WE CURRENTLY HAVE 3 PLACES AVAILABLE. PLEASE CONTACT HAZEL CARTLEDGE. Full details of  the trip are in our last printed Newsletter or you can look up on our web,

Clive Hooper leads a trip to Cumbria, starting April 25th. This is fully subscribed. The itinerary looks wonderful and everyone should have a memorable trip. We look forward to more on this (plus photos) on their return.
Clive also reports that there are still some places available for The History of Art of Holland trip - Three twin rooms, and also the offer of a twin room for single occupancy (subject to surcharge). We also have a lady member who would be willing to share a twin-bedded room.

We have a Talk at 7.30pm in Hanley Swan, on Monday April 29th. Wendy Carter will be talking to us about Wildlife from Wyre to Vale, a Journey through Worcestershire`s Wildlife. Please remember that we serve tea/coffee and biscuits from 7.00pm. Wendy has spoken to us before and she returns by popular acclaim.

FORTHCOMING OUTINGS. There are still places available of our visits to Coughton Court and Tyntesfield. Both offer a great day out so please re-visit your diary and see if you can join us.

We are now able to confirm dates of three Social Events later this year.
27th June. Cream Tea on the Aldwyn Terrace at Audley Ellerslie with music by a string Duo.
28th August. Pig Roast in the Orchard at Croome Court (5.30pm to 8.30pm)
26th October Concert by The Black Pear Wind Ensemble at Malvern College

We are currently finalising details of these events and more information and booking forms will be made available to you all as soon as possible.

Clive Hooper`s holiday trips are extremely popular, quite rightly so. For those of you who like to plan well ahead Clive is considering a Loire Valley trip (17th-23rd May 2020) and Sussex and Surrey trip, (6-11th September 2020)
These are yet to be ratified, but please pencil them in to your next year`s planning.

Finally, I would like to thank three members who have offered to support us at some of the above Social Events. We need more people to man the entrance, generally help with serving of wine or other refreshments, and support the organisers with other little jobs at the time. Kindly let Pam Pardoe or myself know if you can help us with one or more of the above Social Dates.

Do enjoy Spring, and I look forward to seeing you at our Lunch, Outing and Talk later this month

With warm regards
