|Dear WMNT Centre Member
Welcome to Spring in England. Soaring temperatures over Easter, rain and hailstones this week! The old adage of "cast ne`er a clout `till May is out" still holds true!
As you read this we are well into our 2019 programme. Our last talk of the season, by Wendy Carter at Hanley Swan Village Hall was, as always, a great success. Wendy was back by popular acclaim sharing her tremendous local wildlife knowledge. What a treat!
Clive has just led a sell-out trip to the Lake District. This was, as usual, a trip packed with an interesting itinary. Stop Press reports indicate a great time by all and we are looking forward to more details and photos in due course.
May sees two coach trips - May 1st to Canons Ashby and May 14th to Tyntesfield. For those of you fortunate enough to have a place - ENJOY!
STOP PRESS - still a few places for Tyntesfield - ring 01684 893 907 if you would like to go.
There are also still a few places for Coughton Court trip - to book a place please ring 01684 893 907.
Your committee are delighted to announce the appointment of our new Treasurer. A very warm welcome to Karen Haycock who was voted in at our committee meeting on the 10th April. Karen is a local business person, and lives at Castlemorton. Technically John Hubberd was due to stand down at the last AGM but very kindly (and typically) stayed on to enable us to follow proper procedures bringing Karen forward. Words are inadequate John, but THANK YOU for all you have done for us.
Your Social Committee are delighted to confirm that the following events are now in place. (see pic at top of the page)
Cream Tea on the Terrace, accompanied by music from the Celebration String Duo at Aldwyns Restaurant, Audley Ellerslie, Malvern on Thursday 27th June. Tickets are limited so do HURRY and book ASAP
