|Dear WMNT Centre Member-
The year continues to fly by. Has anyone told the Weather Fairy that it is time for some lovely warm times?
Felicity and myself have just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks in the Loire, France. What a treat is in store for members who have booked on Clive`s trip next May. Clive says that there are still plenty of spaces for this trip, but it is sure to fill up soon. The Loire area, with its wonderful Chateaux, Wine Growers, Troglodyte caves and scenery should not be missed.
Clive also tells me that he still has two single and five twin/double spaces for next years Sussex, Surrey & London trip. Further details and booking forms are on our website. These trips are hugely popular - please don`t delay, book today!
Tony reports that there are also still a few places for Coughton Court trip on July 16th - to book a place please ring 01684 893 907. All other trips are full with waiting lists. But, if you are really keen to go on any trip do make your wishes known to the organiser. Cancellations do happen and it is a pity to miss out.
Your Social Committee are delighted to confirm that the following events are now in place. (see pic at top of the page)
Cream Tea on the Terrace, accompanied by music from the Celebration String Duo at Aldwyns Restaurant, Audley Ellerslie, Malvern on Thursday 27th June. Tickets are limited so do HURRY and book ASAP
This is a unique event on probably the finest terrace in Malvern. Apart from the delicious cream tea and wonderful music of the Celebration String Duo there will also be an opportunity to look around some of the superb facilities at Audley Ellerslie, including the Spa. We have arranged this event as part of Midsummer Malvern, and this offers us the chance to showcase what our Centre is all about - wonderful talks, trips, events and fellowship. So please come and join us.
Thank you to the volunteers who have offered to be stewards for this event. I am so pleased that more of you are stepping forward to help us with our events. It really is appreciated.
You will notice that I have also included our poster for the Summer Pig Roast again that is to be held in August at Croome Park. Please share this with not only you own families but also friends and neighbours.
Please note that our next printed Newsletter will be posted out early September. This edition will also include membership renewal forms
Although headed June, I am sending this early as Felicity and myself are off to Scotland to walk the Caledonian Way. As Wainwright himself said, "there is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing"!
Warm regards to you all, and safe travels wherever you are going
